DESCRIPTION This beach is called “Algodones” (Cotton) because the dunes in the areas appear to be balls of cotton. Its beautiful beaches are of smooth swells, water that is transparent and smooth sand of white tones and fine texture. This beach is the idea place from which to practice aquatic sports, year-round, in that the average temperature ranges from 31 degrees centigrade (88 degrees Fahrenheit) in the spring to 18 degrees centigrade (65 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter. |

The flora is more desert-based than forestall, made of spiny thickets, saguaros and palm trees. The fauna is made of birds that have adapted themselves to this climate, including many canorous and ornamental birds. In the high season, such as Holy Week (Semana Santa) and during the summer, the beaches are ideal for camping and practicing aquatic sports. Along the sands are both economy and luxury hotels, and expansive beaches.
